This is an eSummary, prepared by the CII Learning Solutions department, on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), which replaced the 1995 Investment Services Directive (ISD) from 1st November 2007. MiFID covers investment advice, portfolio management, deposits, designated investment business and long-term insurance business in relation to life policies, and training and competence. It excludes general insurance.

 We are pleased to present this new set of materials 'Tips for Brokers', designed to provide broker ASSESS users in particular with useful tips and best practices. Each document covers a specific sector of the market and can be completed within a few minutes. All of the documents are free of charge and can be reviewed as many times as you would like. Please note that usage is not tracked for reporting purposes.
